Many of our Gunners were in FA Cup action this weekend for their respective loan clubs.
Ainsley Maitland-Niles put in a solid midfield performance in Southampton's 2-1 victory over Crystal Palace. The Saints will now face Charlie Patino's Blackpool in the fourth round after the Seasiders cruised to a win against Nottingham Forest. Patino featured for 68 minutes in the 4-1 upset.
Tim Akinola and Chesterfield were robbed of a huge upset over Championship outfit West Bromwich Albion, when the Baggies equalised deep in stoppage time. The 3-3 draw means a trip to The Hawthorns for a FA Cup replay next week.
Harry Clarke featured for the full 90 and kept a clean sheet as Stoke City comfortably beat League Two strugglers, Hartlepool United. The Potters are up against another League Two opponent, Stevenage, in the next round.
Ipswich Town dispatched Rotherham United 4-1 but Tyreece John-Jules did not feature for the Tractor Boys due to injury.
Brooke Norton-Cuffy's recent loan switch from Rotherham United to Coventry City came too late for the 18-year-old to feature in their surprise 4-3 loss to Wrexham.
Outside of the FA Cup, Arthur Okonkwo kept another clean sheet between the sticks for Crewe Alexandra as they drew 0-0 with AFC Wimbledon in League Two.
Ovie Ejeheri made his last appearance for Chelmsford City on Monday as his short-term loan spell came to an end. Our academy goalkeeper made 25 appearances for the Essex side, keeping 12 clean sheets and conceding only 14 goals in total. He was awarded the Clarets' Player of the Month Award in November.
In his return from injury, Alex Kirk played the full 90 for Ayr United in their 1-0 win over Hamilton Academical. The Scottish side are only 4 points adrift from league leaders Queen's Park.
Over in Serie A, Pablo Mari featured for the whole game as Monza drew 2-2 with Inter Milan and in the Coupe de France, Nicolas Pepe played 90 minutes as Nice fell to a surprise 1-0 loss against Le Puy Foot.
Elsewhere in Europe, Mika Biereth was involved in RKC Waalwijk's 0-0 draw with Heerenveen and Nikolaj Moller came on as a second-half substitute for Den Bosch in their 4-1 defeat to Utrecht II.
Alex Runarsson’s Alanyaspor blitzed past Trabzonspor in the Turkish Super Lig, with Runarsson keeping a clean sheet in the 5-0 win.
