Sambi Lokonga opened the scoring to give Luton Town fans hope in Saturday’s game away to West Ham United.
Heading in from an Alfie Doughty cross, Sambi gave Luton the lead but second-half goals from James Ward-Prowse, Tomas Soucek and George Earthy saw David Moyes’ side complete the turnaround.
The Hatters aren’t mathematically relegated going into the final weekend of the Premier League, but survival looks unlikely. Not only would they need to beat Fulham and hope Nottingham Forest lose to Burnley, they’d also require a goal difference swing of 11 goals.
On his Instagram, Sambi had a message for Luton supporters, who showed their appreciation at the end of the game for a valiant effort this season.
Giovana Queiroz was also among the goals last week, netting twice in Madrid CFF’s convincing 6-1 win at home to Valencia.
Her first, a delicate lob over the goalkeeper, was followed by a one-on-one where the ball was coolly slotted home.
👌 Perfect run and perfect touch from Gio Queiroz to put Madrid CFF ahead!

Gio also assisted the third goal as Madrid went fifth in the Primera Division, two points behind fourth-placed Levante with three games to go and five points shy of Atletico Madrid in third.
Mika Biereth provided an assist too last week, crossing for Otar Kiteishvili to make it 1-1 in SK Sturm Graz’s 2-2 draw away to LASK on Sunday.
Despite three draws in a row, Sturm Graz are still top of the Austrian Bundesliga play-offs, two points clear of Red Bull Salzburg ahead of the final match against Austria Klagenfurt on Sunday.
Over in Brazil, Marquinhos played 90 minutes of Fluminense’s 1-0 win away to Colo-Colo on Friday. It was a real smash and grab victory, Fluminense having just four shots to Colo Colo’s 24.
Nevertheless, Fluminense are top of Group A of the Copa Libertadores with eight points from four games.
Last but not least, Salah-Eddine Oulad M’Hand played 90 minutes of FC Den Bosch’s final game of the season, a 2-0 loss away to FC Eindhoven.
Den Bosch finished 19th in the Eerste Divisie while Salah-Eddine ended his loan with three goals and one assist in 20 appearances.
