Hector Bellerin made a winning start to life at Real Betis, playing the full 90 minutes as Sergio Canales’ 89th-minute goal handed Manuel Pellegrini’s side their first La Liga victory of the season, away at Granada on Monday. Rodri gave Betis the lead on the stroke of half-time, but Luis Suarez’s equaliser midway through the second half looked to have secured a point for the hosts. Second-half substitute Canales would have the final say, however, embarking on a driving run from the halfway line before finishing clinically.

Daniel Ballard scored his first Millwall goal to help his team to a point away at Championship leaders, West Bromwich Albion. Our centre half equalised 10 minutes after half-time with a looping back-post header. Former Gunner, Kyle Bartley, had earlier given the hosts the lead. Ballard has now netted twice during September, having also scored his first Northern Ireland goal during the recent international break.

Meanwhile, William Saliba and Matteo Guendouzi both started as Marseille continued their unbeaten start to the Ligue 1 season with victory at Monaco. Bamba Dieng scored either side of half-time to hand OM all three points.

Lucas Torreira played over an hour of Fiorentina’s impressive 2-1 away win at Atalanta. Two penalties from Dusan Vlahovic set the Viola on their way to three points, which they held on to despite Duvan Zapata pulling one back from the spot midway through the second half. Torreira was replaced by Sofyan Amrabat after 66 minutes.

In the Bundesliga, Konstantinos Mavropanos helped Stuttgart to secure a point at Eintracht Frankfurt. The visitors looked set to keep their first Bundesliga clean sheet of the season before Filip Kostic gave Frankfurt a 79th-minute lead. There was, however, to be late drama - Omar Marmoush equalising just before full-time.

Harry Clarke played the full 90 minutes of Ross County’s 3-0 Scottish Premiership defeat at Celtic. Cameron Carter-Vickers opened the scoring just after the hour, with Albian Ajeti’s late brace making the game safe for the hosts.

A brace from Will Keane consigned Matt Smith’s Doncaster Rovers to defeat on Saturday. Tommy Rowe had given Donny the lead midway through the first half, but Keane equalised within two minutes, before firing in the winner just after the break. Smith started the match and was replaced by John Bostock with 10 minutes to play.

Deyan Iliev kept his second successive clean sheet as Sered beat Liptovsky Mikulas at home. Roberto Dias and Roman Hasa scored before the break.
