Lacazette tops January Goal of the Month poll

Alexandre Lacazette has won our Goal of the Month award for the month of January.

The France international's strike in our 2-0 win over Chelsea came out on top, receiving 56 per cent of the total vote.

Lacazette also took both second and third place with his goals against Cardiff and Fulham claiming 21 per cent and 20 per cent of the vote respectively.

Joe Willock's second goal in our Emirates FA Cup victory at Blackpool came in fourth, polling three per cent of the vote.

Lacazette is our January Player of the Month

After scoring three times in January, it's no surprise that Alex Lacazette has been named as our Player of the Month.

The France international kicked off the new year in fine style, scoring our second goal in our 4-1 victory over Fulham at Emirates Stadium.

Laca also played a starring role in our 2-0 victory against Chelsea, opening the scoring in the third minute with a superb finish at the near post.

The forward's final goal of the month came in our 2-0 victory against Cardiff, as he collected the ball on the touchline, held off two challenges and lashed a shot into the far corner.

Lacazette finished with 65 per cent of the votes cast, with Sead Kolasinac in second place and Aaron Ramsey in third.


Lacazette nominated for PL Player of the Month

Alexandre Lacazette has been nominated for the Premier League’s Player of the Month award for January.

The 27-year-old kickstarted 2019 with a thumping finish in our 4-1 over Fulham, before breaking the deadlock in a 2-0 victory over Chelsea at Emirates Stadium.

Our No 9 then went on to score his third goal of the month in our 2-1 win over Cardiff City.

Tom Heaton, Josh King, Victor Lindelof, Marcus Rashford and James Ward-Prowse have also been nominated for the award.
