Katie McCabe has signed a new long-term contract extension, securing her future with us.
The Republic of Ireland international has made 58 appearances in an Arsenal shirt since joining us in December 2015 from Irish side Shelbourne Ladies.
Katie joined Glasgow City on loan in August 2017 for the second half of the Scottish Women's Premier League season. Since returning, Katie has become a vital part of the Arsenal squad, scoring eight goals and assisting 11 across all competitions this season.
A key part of her international team, she helped Ireland to reach the UEFA Women's Euro qualifying stage in 2017. Shortly after she was named as the youngest ever captain of the national team.
“We’re delighted that Katie has signed a new contract with us," said Joe Montemurro.
"She is a very versatile player, she is strong and creative, and her development throughout my time here has been very positive. I am looking forward to seeing her continue to grow and achieve with us.”
