Leah Williamson captained England for the first time in the Lionesses’ emphatic victory over North Macedonia. Beath Mead, who also started, completed the scoring in second-half stoppage time, with Lotte Wubben-Moy and Nikita Parris coming off the bench just after the hour.
Tobin Heath
United States 9-0 Paraguay
Tobin Heath came off the bench to complete the scoring as the USWNT eased to victory in their friendly against Paraguay. Heath came on after 74 minutes and struck soon after having been set up by Tierna Davidson.
Vivianne Miedema
Netherlands 1-1 Czech Republic
Vivianne Miedema came to the Netherlands’ rescue on Friday, scoring a late equaliser to secure a point at home to the Czech Republic. Andrea Staskova had given the visitors the lead just after half-time, but Miedema netted with just eight minutes to play.

Norway 10-0 Armenia
Frida Maanum played the duration of Norway’s comprehensive win over Armenia on Thursday. Our young midfielder set up Elisabeth Terland to score her team’s ninth goal in what was a blistering second-half display.

Lia Walti started and played 90 minutes as Switzerland kickstarted their World Cup qualifying campaign with a comfortable home win over Lithuania.
Jennifer Beattie
Hungary 0-2 Scotland
Jennifer Beattie helped Scotland to keep a clean sheet as Pedro Martinez Losa’s reign as manager began with victory in Hungary. Erin Cuthbert scored before the break, with Martha Thomas adding a second in the second half.
Manuela Zinsberger
Latvia 1-8 Austria
Manuela Zinsberger started as Austria recovered from going behind early on to win in Latvia. Austria scored six times in the final half hour to ensure a comfortable victory.
