Two Gunners were in international action on Sunday. Read on to find out how they fared for their countries.
Aaron Ramsey played the entirety of Wales’ second UEFA Nations League fixture, as they slipped to a 2-0 defeat to Denmark.
Christian Eriksen opened the scoring in the first half with a low finish, before grabbing his and Denmark’s second of the afternoon from the penalty spot. Ramsey managed to create a number of half-chances for himself, but Ryan Giggs’ side failed to carve any more golden opportunities.
Elsewhere, Henrikh Mkhitaryan played the full 90 minutes of Armenia’s 2-0 loss to Macedonia in the UEFA Nations League.
Ezgjan Alioski broke the deadlock with a penalty in the 12th minute, before Igor Pandev pounced on Aleksandar Trajkovski’s cross and doubled their advantage in the second-half.
