It was a truly unforgettable night at Anfield on Wednesday as we lost on penalties to Liverpool following an incredible 5-5 draw.
After Shkodran Mustafi put into his own goal early on, we came flying back at the hosts and raced into a 3-1 lead as Lucas Torreira's goal and a Gabriel Martinelli brace put us in control.
James Milner pulled one back from the spot, but after the interval Ainsley Maitland-Niles extended our advantage before Liverpool fought back to make it 4-4.
Joe Willock then scored a screamer, but deep into stoppage time the hosts equalised to set up a shootout, which they went on to win 5-4.
