Five years, 237 games, 100 goals, one Olivier Giroud.
The France striker became our latest centurion when he slotted home from the spot during our 4-2 win over BATE Borisov last month.
From bicycle kicks to scorpion kicks, Giroud has scored some memorable goals during his time in north London, but these are not the ones the 31-year-old looks back on most fondly.
“I like to remember the ones that helped the team to win a game, and even more in the last minutes,” he told Arsenal Player. “The Leicester one was a very important one because it was the first game of the season and we needed this win at home to keep the confidence high.
“I was very glad to help the team win this game. Every single goal is very important but some of them are even more so because of the scenario of the game, so it’s always nice to score a nice winner.
“In my first north London derby maybe, or one of the first at the Emirates, Theo was on the right side. He put in an early cross and I tried to put it in the net, but it was very quick and I have more confidence in my left foot so I took on the outside. It was a great feeling because I couldn’t imagine how big it was for the fans and obviously for us in the dressing room. It was one of my best moments definitely.
“I also like the one when I came on against Manchester United a couple of years ago. It was a hard game for us but I scored a half-volley in the top corner. We lost the game so I was not fully happy after this one, but there is some nice technique there.
“Every single goal counts for one, so afterwards you have to think about the scenario of the game and if your goal is important. If you lose 3-0 and you score, nobody will remember but if you score a winner it’s always special. If I could score winners all the time, I would love to do that, but it’s not always like that.”
