Europa League final: The Brief

After 14 matches, eight months and 41,000 kilometres travelled, we've reached our final destination in this season's Europa League as we seek to bring the trophy home from Baku.

The stakes could barely be higher: win and not only will we lift just the third European trophy in our history, but we'll secure our place at the top table next season. Lose... well, let's not go there.

In Unai Emery, we certainly have a head coach who knows how to get the job done. Three successive triumphs with Sevilla underline his credentials in this competition, while in Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette we have two of Europe's top scorers this term.

But we will come up against a Chelsea side free from pressure, having already secured their place in next season's Champions League courtesy of their third-placed finish in the Premier League. Maurizio Sarri's side also have the outstanding Eden Hazard and the Europa League's top scorer in their ranks... one Olivier Giroud.

But having worked so hard, for so long, to get this far, we will be determined not to let this opportunity slip. This is our chance, our moment and, Emery hopes, our destiny.

Read on for our comprehensive preview, including our head coach's thoughts on the game, the latest team news, stats, and analysis of the opposition.
