Emirates Stadium going cashless from March

To improve fans’ matchday experience and improve efficiency at Emirates Stadium, all bars, restaurants, kiosks, programme sellers and retail outlets inside the stadium will accept card payment only from Sunday, March 1, 2020.

The move comes into effect for our home fixture against West Ham United, (currently scheduled for Saturday 7 March). It follows extensive research which looked at our supporters’ habits, the matchday experience and other cashless venues across the UK.

Our retail stores outside Emirates Stadium; The Armoury, Highbury House and Finsbury Park will still accept cash and matchday programme sellers located outside Emirates Stadium will also continue to accept cash payment.  Chapman’s Kiosk, located on Hornsey Road, will also continue to operate as normal and will accept cash payment.

Arsenal’s Venue Director, Tom McCann said: “93% of our stadium transactions are currently made via card payment. By moving to a fully cashless operation, our fans can expect to experience increased speed and shorter queue times at our bars and kiosks.

"Over the forthcoming matchdays and events, we will promote the move to a cashless stadium to prepare our fans for this change on 1 March.”

The move to cashless also applies to non-matchday events and venue hire.
