Emirates Stadium development plans

Emirates Stadium expansion

We will be developing and renovating areas of Emirates Stadium over the next two years to help bring our capacity back in line with our original figure from 2006. Our capacity has been reduced in recent seasons due to safety requirements and improvements to facilities for disabled supporters.

Next May we will begin work on adding approximately 780 extra seats to Club Level to help bring our capacity back in line with our original figure from 2006. It will involve adding an extra row to the front of Club Level and will take our capacity to just over 60,600.

Construction will be completed in two stages during the summers of 2018 and 2019. The club will be in contact with all club level members to inform them if and how this will affect them.

Alongside this work, we plan to upgrade and refurbish additional areas of Club Level over the next two years. The first upgrade will be to Dial Square in the summer of 2018, which will see the area transformed to celebrate the club’s original name of Dial Square Football Club. Indicative designs for these renovations can be seen here.

Arsenal’s Chief Commercial Officer Vinai Venkatesham said:  “The development of Club Level is crucial to ensuring fan experience at games is at its best whilst also enabling us to stay at the forefront of stadium hospitality.  As we continue to face high demand for tickets in all areas of Emirates Stadium, this is a significant investment to ensure that as many supporters as possible are able to watch the team play at Emirates Stadium.”

These are the latest developments in a programme of work since moving to Emirates Stadium in 2006 to improve matchday facilities for all supporters. This includes the 'Legends Together' stadium wrap, statues of club legends, introduction of a fan information team on matchdays, refurbishment of our box offices and club stores and renovations to various bars and restaurants on Club Level. This summer we have also built a new sensory room and improved our disabled supporters’ seating and access to the stadium.
