Cozier-Duberry wins PL2 Player of the Month award

Amario POTM

Amario Cozier-Duberry has been named the Premier League 2 Player of the Month for April.

Amario played 90 minutes of all four of our PL2 games last month, scoring four goals in the process and registering one assist.

After scoring penalties against Stoke City and Blackburn Rovers, Amario netted a brace in our final game of the regular league season - a 2-0 win over Liverpool, which included an Emirates Goal of the Month contender.

Under-21s head coach, Mehmet Ali, said: “It’s a well deserved award. He’s had ups and downs throughout the season, like any player potentially can, and he’s finishing really strong. He deserves it, he’s had a real positive season and his ability in the final third to take players on and score goals, he’s done very well. For him it’s about ‘can he keep that form up and keep pushing?’”

The other players nominated for the award were Dujuan Richards (Chelsea), Alfie Harrison (Newcastle United), Aaron Bott (Nottingham Forest), Jack Thompson (Nottingham Forest), Will Lankshear (Tottenham Hotspur), Rio Kyerematen (Tottenham Hotspur), and Adrian Akande (Reading).

Congratulations, Amario!
