We are pleased to announce our continued partnership with Athena Sports who will be hosting camps in 9 locations across the Eastern US from June to August 2024 for players aged between 7 and 14. Young soccer enthusiasts learn to ‘Play the Arsenal Way’ at state-of-the-art facilities under the guidance of Arsenal Football Development coaches.
Arsenal Soccer Camps powered by Athena Sports cater to players of all abilities who wish to experience what it’s like to be a Gunner for a week. Our camp model is built around our Strong Young Gunner model, with 4 distinct development areas; Effective Team Player, Efficient Mover, Lifelong Learner and Champion Mentality. This is the same model utilised by our academy, led by Per Mertesacker and our coaching team is trained to tailor this to each audience we engage with. Our Strong Young Gunner model is used throughout the club to develop young people and players. We believe it leads to holistic development and ensures young people develop life skills as well as football skills.
Each session is delivered to develop players to become the best they can be and inspire a lifelong passion for the sport all within a highly supportive envionment. Players are divided into small groups to ensure they get the attention necessary to develop and learn during the course of the week. Each day focuses on a different aspect of the Arsenal Football Development training programme which is based on teaching young gunners the same techniques, skills and Game IQ our academy players learn at our official Arsenal Youth Academy at Hale End and is designed to give players an understanding of what it takes to play for Arsenal. It’s a great way to get a taste of academy level training and get closer to Arsenal.
