We secured our second signing of the summer window this week, with Nikita Parris arriving from Lyon.
And the 27-year-old was never in doubt crossing the English Channel.
"I'm very happy to be here in north London playing for Arsenal," Parris told Arsenal Media. "It's a great team with an unbelievable history. Hopefully we can make more successful years to come.
"I think the most important thing was making sure that I chose the best club and the best place for me to really push on my career. Here at Arsenal, after talking with Clare [Wheatley] and the staff, it became apparent that it was here. Hopefully we can make more success here at Arsenal.
But how has Parris changed since leaving Manchester for Lyon two years ago?
"I think I've grown and matured both as a person and a player," she said. "My ultimate goal was to go out to France and win the Champions League and the domestic league trophies, basically every trophy that was available, and I did that in the time I was there. I met some unbelievable people, played with some fantastic players and really grew as a player because of that."
