The Africa Cup of Nations continued on Sunday. Scroll down to find out how our stars got on:

Mohamed Elneny played just over an hour of Egypt's 2-0 victory over Uganda as they topped Group A.

Having already won their opening two games, the hosts knew another victory would secure top spot but they were initially under pressure, with goalkeeper Mohamed El-Shenawy twice called into action to deny Farouk Miya and then Emmanuel Okwi.

But Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah gave the home side the lead when he curled in a free kick midway through the first half, before Egypt captain Ahmed Elmohamady doubled their advantage after the restart.

Elneny played 62 minutes before being replaced. Egypt will find out their last-16 opponents on Tuesday, and will play on Saturday.

Elsewhere, Alex Iwobi came off the bench just before the hour mark but couldn't stop Nigeria slipping to a shock 2-0 defeat to Madagascar.

The Super Eagles are one of the favourites for the tournament, but fell behind to an early goal from Lalaina Nomenjanahary.

Madagascar doubled their lead as Carolus Andriamatsinoro's free-kick struck Wilfred Ndidi and deflected in.

The result means Nigeria finished second in Group B and will play the team that secures second place in Group F in the last-16 on Saturday.
