Ahead of the 2022/23 campaign, Aaron Ramsdale has taken the men’s first-team number one shirt.
The England international has moved from his previous number 32 following Bernd Leno’s move to Fulham.
After moving from Sheffield United in August 2021, Rambo forced his way into the side after some impressive displays and made 37 appearances in all competitions during his debut campaign, which also coincided with a first England cap in November 2021 in the Three Lions’ 1-0 victory against San Marino.
Speaking about the switch, Ramsdale said: "I’m very proud and honoured to be taking this massively prestigious number. Some of the greats have worn this shirt and hopefully I can emulate how they performed on and off the pitch and also add a twist of my personality to it as well.
"To Bernd Leno, I wish nothing but happiness and greatness on your new adventure. Thank you for showing me the ropes and I hope I can hold myself as graceful as you did in the shirt."
