“It’s about being professional and putting in a similar performance to the one on Saturday. We can’t be complacent because they are at home and they will have a sell-out crowd right behind them. So we need to step it up a bit more when we go to Glasgow.”

Saturday’s 3-0 victory over the Glasgow City put Arsenal Ladies in pole position to qualify for the Champions League quarter-finals, but as midfielder Jordan Nobbs implies, the job isn’t done yet.

Shelley Kerr’s team produced a comprehensive performance and result in the first leg at the Hive as they dominated from start to finish with Glasgow barely able to get out of their own half at times. However, the Scottish league champions are likely to be different prospect at Petershill Park, having drawn just one of their 17 home games this season.

"I’m feeling confident about my form but I know I've still got a lot more to learn and a lot more to do"

Nobbs, who recently signed a new contract with the Club, believes the Gunners have the ability and win this year's competition.

“We can definitely go all the way this time,” she told Arsenal.com. “We've been training a lot harder this year which will help us as a team and I think that's shown in the past few games.

“We've been getting plenty of goals recently and we’ve managed to maintain possession really well throughout the games.”

It’s been an impressive year for the 20-year-old. She made her senior England debut in March and has got eight more caps and two goals since then. She has managed to hold down a regular starting place alongside Kim Little and Katie Chapman in Arsenal’s midfield so she was delighted to commit her future to the Club.

“Arsenal is the club I want to be at and I've enjoyed the past few seasons here,” she said. "I think I've really progressed as a player so hopefully I've got another few years in me at the Club and I feel privileged to be here.

“I’m feeling confident about my form but I know I've still got a lot more to learn and a lot more to do. As a player you want to be one of the best in the country so you've just got to keep going.

“Hopefully I can continue to prove myself here and with England.”
