Arsenal Ladies rounded off their 2010 fixtures with a friendly against a Sussex representative side at Lewes FC.
A wet and gloomy night at Lewes FC started off well as Arsenal took a 6th-minute lead. Some slick passing saw Ellen White break through the defence and cross for Ciara Grant to calmly slot home.
Gemma Davison's low hard strike made it 2-0 before the break and it was a timely goal for Arsenal with Sussex starting to get into the game and cause problems for the champions.
Sussex were rewarded for their efforts early in the second half but, after a sloppy 15 minutes, Arsenal recovered their poise and took the game away from their hosts with a brace from Ellen White.
Arsenal Ladies now have a break until the New Year and will return to training ahead of the Champions League Quarter-Finals and the inaugural FA Women's Super League.
