Steve Bould’s side took the lead in the early stages via Conor Henderson but the Suffolk team levelled quickly through Ronan Murray.
Daniel Boateng was sent off midway through the second half after receiving his second yellow card. The dismissal was sandwiched by a brace of Ipswich goals from Connor Wickham.
Jernade Meade struck five minutes from time but Arsenal could not find the equaliser.
