Arsenal Ladies added yet another trophy to their bulging collection on Tuesday night, scooping the London County Cup after a narrow victory over Millwall.
Vic Akers' side were made to work hard for the silverware as their opponents fought back from a two-goal deficit but recent signing Suzanne Grant grabbed the winner in stoppage time.
Grant fired Arsenal ahead in the first half and Natalie Ross doubled their advantage before the break when she collected Kim Little's astute pass and took the ball past the Millwall keeper before scoring.
Arsenal were in complete control but their London rivals hit back in the second half. Millwall reduced their arrears with a long-range effort and then levelled matters when Ann-Marie Heatherson beat the offside trap and slotted past Emma Byrne.
The favourites were stunned but they regrouped and snatched victory with seconds remaining. Arsenal were awarded a free-kick just outside the area and Eartha Pond teed it up for the unmarked Grant to hammer into the top corner.
