A hat-trick for Julie Fleeting on her first competitive start of
the season ensured Arsenal Ladies maintained their 100 per cent
start to the Premier League campaign with a 3-0 win at Chelsea.
The hosts, in their first outing of the season, put up a
stubborn resistance against the defending champions and were
unlucky not to go in at the break level.
Five minutes from half-time though, Fleeting grabbed her first,
and it proved the undoing of Chelsea. The Scottish international
got her second on 54 minutes and from there Arsenal never looked
back. Fleeting completed the scoring - and her hat-trick - eight
minutes from time.
