Loan Watch: Saliba, Torreira, Bellerin, Nelson

Ten of our players were in action last week for their respective loan clubs.

Read on to find out how they performed:

William Saliba played 90 minutes and helped Marseille to a clean sheet as they beat Lens 2-0. Our on-loan defender impressed with a superb challenge on Seko Fofana, racing back to make a last-ditch tackle, before getting back to his feet and blocking his follow-up effort. The win leaves Marseille third in Ligue 1 with 21 matches played.

Matteo Guendouzi also played the full match against Lens and assisted both of Marseille's goals. Our midfielder won the penalty that Dimitri Payet dispatched to open the scoring, before finding Cedric Bakambu with a through ball, who doubled the French side's lead.

Lucas Torreira had a busy week, featuring twice for Fiorentina. Our midfielder played 80 minutes and scored as the Italian side beat Genoa 6-0. Lucas then played the full 90 of La Viola's 1-1 draw with Cagliari. Fiorentina currently sit seventh in Serie A after 22 matches.

Hector Bellerin played the full 90 minutes of Real Betis' 4-0 win over Alaves. The Spanish side are currently third in La Liga after 22 matches.

Ainsley Maitland-Niles
made his third appearance since joining Roma, playing 59 minutes of their 4-2 win over Empoli. Jose Mourinho's side sit sixth in Serie A with 23 matches played.

Dinos Mavropanos played the full match as Stuttgart lost 2-0 to Freiburg. The defeat leaves the German side 17th in the Bundesliga after 20 matches.

Reiss Nelson played 67 minutes of Feyenoord's 4-1 win over NEC Nijmegen. The victory keeps Feyenoord third in the Eredivisie, six points behind leaders Ajax.

Matt Smith was in action twice for Doncaster Rovers last week. Our midfielder played the full match and got an assist as the League One side lost 3-1 to Cambridge United. Matt played another 90 minutes in Rovers' 1-0 win over MK Dons.

Alex Runarsson played 90 minutes as OH Leuven lost 3-1 to Beerschot.

Brooke Norton-Cuffy was an 83rd-minute substitute as he made his debut for Lincoln City in their 2-1 win over Plymouth Argyle.
