Loan Watch: Nelson scores and assists twice

Reiss Nelson celebrates scoring on loan for Feyenoord

Twelve of our players were in action for their respective loan clubs over the past week.

Read on to find out how they performed:

Reiss Nelson scored his first Eredivisie goal of the season and provided two assists in Feyenoord’s 4-1 win against Heracles. Our winger played a clever one-two with Orkun Kokcu inside the box, who rifled home at the near post to score the Dutch side's equaliser after 21 minutes. Nelson then gave Feyenoord the lead five minutes before the break, finding the top corner with an impressive strike from 12 yards after Heracles failed to clear the initial corner. Our winger completed his impactful first-half display with another assist on the stroke of half time, getting the final touch to lay the ball into the path of Guus Til to score from close range. The win keeps the Dutch side third in the Eredivisie, 11 points behind the league leaders, Ajax, after 29 matches.

Nikolaj Moller played 31 minutes and scored as FC Den Bosch beat Dordrecht 3-0. The strike was our forward's second of his loan spell and helped the Dutch side up to 11th in the Eerste Divisie after 34 matches.

William Saliba played the full match and helped Marseille to keep a clean sheet as they beat Montpellier 2-0.

Matteo Guendouzi also played the entirety of the win, as Marseille remain second in Ligue 1, 12 points behind table-toppers PSG, after 31 matches played.

Harry Clarke continued his impressive return from injury, playing 90 minutes and providing an assist as Hibernian were beaten 3-1 by Hearts. Our versatile defender started in a left wing-back role and provided a well-timed through ball for Drey Wright to give the Scottish side the lead after just five minutes. Defeat leaves Hibs seventh in the Scottish Premiership after 33 matches.

Hector Bellerin played the final 22 minutes as Real Betis beat Cadiz 2-1. The three points leave Manuel Pellegrini's side fifth in LaLiga, just one point behind fourth-placed Atletico Madrid with seven matches remaining.

Folarin Balogun played 64 minutes as Middlesbrough lost 1-0 to Hull City. Defeat leaves Chris Wilder's side eighth in the Championship, three points off a play-off spot with six matches left to play.

Dinos Mavropanos played the full match as Stuttgart were beaten 2-0 by Borussia Dortmund. The German side stay 15th in the Bundesliga, one point above the relegation zone with five matches remaining.

Pablo Mari played the entirety of Udinese's 2-1 win over Venezia. The Italian side move up to 12th in the Serie A table after 30 matches.

Jordi Osei-Tutu was a 68th-minute substitute as Rotherham United lost 1-0 to Charlton Athletic. The Millers now sit 3rd in League One, six points behind the league leaders, Wigan Athletic, after 40 matches.
