Hey Junior Gunners! I hope you’re all having a great start to 2013. I’ve been rushed off my feet so far this year!

Saturday January 12
Today was a sad day for me as I had to say goodbye to an old friend who was starting a new life in Australia. The leaving party was in a pub in Waltham Cross, where I made a surprise entrance much to the amazement of everyone there.

The next day, I was at the Emirates for our 2-0 defeat to Manchester City. The day began well enough and I enjoyed meeting some old friends. One was Patrick Vieira, who now works for Manchester City. We had a big cuddle, which went out on Sky TV before kick-off! After the two teams arrived I went pitch side to meet some fans. The game started badly with Laurent being sent off and from then onwards it was always going to be a difficult game. We lost 2-0 and post-match I went up to Box level to meet more fans. While I was there, I ran into Liam Gallagher who was at the game supporting our visitors.

Thankfully, we put that result right against Swansea City in the FA Cup. I was joined tonight by the FA Cup mascot and we walked around the pitch before kick-off. A Great strike from Jack won us the game and we now face Brighton and Hove Albion away at the Amex stadium in the next round.

Today we all got some great news. Theo has signed a long-term contract to stay at Arsenal Football Club!

Sunday, January 20
We were beaten 2-1 at Chelsea despite putting in a really good second-half performance. Theo celebrated signing his deal by scoring a nice goal but, despite some late pressure, we couldn’t quite find an equaliser.

It was really good to see Lukas and Alex back fit for our game against West Ham. I had a hug with Andre and Theo before the game, and also met Karren Brady and England manager Roy Hodgson. Things didn’t start well and our visitors took the lead early on, but we came back into the game quickly thanks to a great goal from Lukas. Then, in the second half, we went goal crazy! We scored four times in just 10 minutes - it was hard to keep up! Olivier scored twice, and Santi and Theo also added their name to the scoresheet. It was a great display and we thoroughly deserved the 5-1 win.

We are in the fifth round of the FA Cup after a really hard-fought win over Brighton. We took the lead twice through Olivier, and Theo scored with five minutes left to make sure we progressed with a 3-2 victory.

It’s been a really busy month and I’ll make sure to keep you updated with my latest adventures soon.

Big hugs,
Gunner
