Junior Gunners Play Day 2014

On Thursday, October 16, Mathieu Debuchy attended a play day at Emirates Stadium with the club’s Junior Gunners.

New-borns to four year-olds, who were all part of the Welcome to our World membership scheme, were entertained by soft playtime, bouncy castle, dino slide, craft areas, face paint and were even taught some skills by Arsenal Soccer Schools.

France international Debuchy took time out to have a photo taken with every child (and their eager parents)  in small groups and he enjoyed all of the entertainment.

The 200 youngsters at the event, which is in its fifth year, were also entertained by the club’s loveable mascot and very own dinosaur, Gunnersaurus.

On top of that, Official Club Partner Indesit brought the Indesit Café along where parents and JGs could enjoy complimentary food and drinks.

Debuchy said: “This is my first Junior Gunners event and I really enjoyed meeting the parents and children. I have young children myself and I know how much they already love football, especially Lucas! It was a pleasure to be here with them and to see them enjoying the event as well."

Junior Gunners is a great way for children to get involved with the club. There are lots of great benefits to being a member including access to reduced price tickets for first-team matches as well as various events, competitions and quizzes held throughout the season.

The Junior Gunner Membership is open to fans aged 0 to 16, with prices starting from £10.  For an application form, please call the Junior Gunners office on 0207649 9003 or you learn more about the scheme and sign up through the Official Club website at https://alwaysaheadofthegame.com/junior.
