Mesut Ozil opened the scoring after 30 minutes when he latched onto Danny Welbeck's pass before he set up the England striker a minute later to double the lead.
Aly Cissokho then scored an own goal, deflecting Kieran Gibbs's shot into his own net 30 seconds after to give the Gunners all three points.
