It's the Gunners' Greatest 50 Goals - as voted for by Arsenal's fans.
This goal came on the night when Andrey Arshavin netted his awesome foursome in a thrilling 4-4 draw at Anfield. And to most observers this was the best of his quartet.
Arsenal trailed 2-1 and were still on the back foot when Lukasz Fabianski launched a long punt downfield in the 67th minute. Arshavin is hardly renowned for his prowess in the air but, unchallenged, he managed to nod the ball on.
The move seemed destined to break down as Jamie Carragher intercepted on the edge of his own area. But instead of heading away forcefully, the Liverpool defender cushioned the ball down to Alvaro Arbeloa. The Spaniard failed to anticipate and Arshavin, quick as a flash, stole the ball away from him.
The Russian was still 25 yards from goal but he advanced to the edge of the box and unleashed a vicious, swerving shot which flew past Pepe Reina in the Liverpool goal.
Arshavin ran to the travelling Arsenal fans at that end of the ground to take the acclaim for a quite magnificent strike. And, of course, there would be more to come.
