GGG5: Arshavin v Blackburn Rovers, 2009

It's time to reveal the Gunners' Greatest 50 Goals - as voted for by Arsenal's fans.

The Russian playmaker's first strike for the club was mouthwatering.

Arsenal led Blackburn by one goal at Emirates Stadium when Denilson initiated a slick move in the 65th minute. The Brazilian swapped passes with Alex Song and then curved a perfect pass into Arshavin's path on the left.

He collected the ball near the byline and, at that moment, there was little on and much to do.

But Arshavin dropped a shoulder, shimmied past Danny Simpson and found the perfect trajectory from the acutest of angles to lift the ball over Paul Robinson and into the top corner.

Arsenal fans have seen a broad spectrum of spectacular goals down the years and this was one of the best.
