Mart Poom

Mart Poom was coming to the end of his career when he joined Arsenal from Sunderland in January 2006.

The Estonia international made his name in English football with Derby County, where he spent six years before joining the Black Cats on a permanent deal in 2003.

Poom was signed as cover for Jens Lehmann and Manuel Almunia and played twice during his short Highbury career.

He kept clean sheets in his only two appearances in the 2006/07 season, making his debut as a second-half replacement for Almunia in a 1-0 League Cup win at Everton.

Poom kept a clean sheet in his only Premier League start for Arsenal on the final day of the campaign against Portsmouth.

The goalkeeper joined Watford for an undisclosed fee in May 2007.
