John Grant was a centre forward who chose to assist the Club while on business in Gravesend in 1912.
He was brought in as cover for Alf Common or Jackie Chalmers and joined as an amateur from Southport Central in February. He made his debut against Preston North End on April 8.
Grant, son of former Arsenal director James, made four appearances and scored three goals, which all came against Blackburn at the Manor Ground.
