A strong striker, Jay kicked off the 2010/11 season with a brace in Arsenal's traditional pre-season match against Barnet but moved to Hull City in August.
His three first-team appearances came in the 2008/09 Carling Cup and he netted a brace as the Gunners defeated Wigan Athletic in the competition. The striker spent the second half of that season on loan at West Brom.
He spent the 2009/10 campaign on loan at QPR and impressed in front of goal at Loftus Road. Eight goals in his first 15 games proved how prolific the 21-year-old can be.
It was Jay's third loan spell. He spent the 2007/08 campaign at Millwall and performed so well he won the League One ‘Player of the Year’ award.
