Dr. Marshall

Scottish international Dr James Marshall won five league championships and three Scottish Cups before he moved to Arsenal.

Marshall obtained his medical degree in October 1933 and, after a medical appointment prompted his move to London the following summer, he signed for the Club.

Marshall found his first-team opportunities limited, and while he did score in the Charity Shield victory over Manchester City, he made only four league appearances in his one season with Arsenal. He eventually moved on West Ham in 1935, where he ended his career.
