Brian Walsh joined Arsenal from Chase of Chersey in March 1949 as a 16-year-old, before signing professional terms with the Club five months later.
Walsh was a prominent figure in the 440 yards junior AAA championships at White City in 1949, before spending two years in the Army for National Service between 1950 and 1952.
It took four years for him to make his Arsenal league debut, the winger featuring in a comfortable 3-0 win at Cardiff in September 1953.
That match was the first of Walsh's 17 starts in the following two years and he made his final appearance against Tottenham in the Combinations Cup at White Hart Lane in September 1955. He was transferred to Cardiff two days later.
Walsh was eventually forced to retire through injury during the 1963/64 season, before becoming a chartered accountant.
