Bacary Sagna

Popular with the Arsenal fans and a dependable performer, Bacary Sagna truly made the number three shirt his own during his seven-year stay in N5.

Sagna made his debut in a 3-0 win over Genclirbirligi in a pre-season friendly in 2007, after arriving at the club that summer from Ligue 1 side Auxerre.

'Bac' would go on to score his first Arsenal goal later that season, heading in a corner against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge. Sagna went from strength-to-strength in red and white as the campaign went on, capping an eye-catching maiden season with a place in the PFA Team of the Year.

During the 2011-12 season, Sagna was sidelined after a leg break sustained in a north London derby against Tottenham Hotspur. He would return against Spurs later that same season, scoring a header to help Arsenal come from two goals down to win 5-2 at Emirates Stadium.

Sagna’s stay ended in 2014, but not before he lifted silverware for the first time in his spell at the club, picking up the FA Cup after a dramatic 3-2 win over Hull City at Wembley Stadium.

After seven years and 284 appearances, the Frenchman left for pastures new at the end of his contract, heading north to join Manchester City.

In total, Sagna scored five goals during his 272 starts and 12 substitute appearances in Arsenal colours.
