WHAT HAPPENED

Sam Greenwood played a starring role as our under-18s fought back from two goals down to draw 2-2 with Chelsea at Cobham.

The hosts had the better of the early stages and Myles Peart-Harris tested Hubert Graczyk with a strike that required a low reflex save.

The Blues broke the deadlock during the first half, with Marcel Lewis enjoying some good fortune to see a shinned effort spin in after touching the underside of the crossbar.

The second half saw our youngsters begin to apply the pressure.

Matt Dennis tried his luck with a strike that bounced narrowly wide of the near post, before Graczyk was again called into action to deny Lewis at point-blank range.

The hosts extended their lead when substitute Joe Haigh showed composure to earn himself some space and fire home, seemingly setting Chelsea firmly on the path to victory.

However, our comeback was sparked in the 80th minute, when Greenwood curled a marvellous free-kick high and inside the near post.

Greenwood was at the heart of the equaliser too, sending in a dangerous corner that wasn't dealt with by the Blues, enabling Dennis to convert with just four minutes remaining to ensure the points were shared.
