WHAT HAPPENED

Our under-18s lost 2-0 to Leicester City on the road, with the Foxes scoring either side of half-time to earn all three points.

With many of Kwame Ampadu’s squad having been called up to the under-23s for their fixture against Tottenham on Monday, six players were handed debuts.

The hosts did not take long to open the scoring, with Conor Tee bundling home Tyrese Shade’s cross-cum-shot past Arthur Okonkwo.

In a game of few chances, Leicester had the better of it and almost doubled their lead through Sammie McLeod.

Late on the hosts doubled their lead through an own-goal from Matt Smith.

WHAT IT MEANS

Defeat sees us fall to fifth, as the Foxes and Swansea leapfrog us. After eight games we have four wins, one draw and three losses, leaving us on 13 points, eight behind league leaders Chelsea.

WHAT’S NEXT

We will face Wolves in the Premier League Cup on November 4.
