As well as winning February’s men’s Player of the Month, Oleksandr Zinchenko has also come out on top of our Goal of the Month vote.
Our Ukrainian's super strike against Aston Villa has come out on top of our monthly poll to find our best effort, claiming 40 per cent of the vote to just pip Bukayo Saka to top spot.
Bukayo was just two per cent behind his teammate having also scored a great goal in the same game at Villa Park, with Stina Blackstenius rounding off the top three for her Conti Cup final clincher against Manchester City.
Alex's first goal for the club - and indeed in the Premier League - was one to treasure. It came at a vital time with us trailing to the Villans, and after Saka and Martin Odegaard had played a short corner, the skipper rolled the ball into the left-back's path. Without hesitation, he put his foot through it to rifle into the bottom corner and kick-start our comeback to claim a precious win.
This is the latest club award Zinchenko has picked up, having won the men's Player of the Month award twice in succession in January and February after a fine start to 2023.
