A composed ball-playing central defender, Zane put an injury-plagued 2021/22 campaign behind him to emerge as a key player at under-21 level last term. The England youth international played 20 times in all competitions, and was part of the first-team training camp in Dubai in December 2022. He often captains Mehmet Ali’s under-21 side, and worked his way through every age group at Hale End.
