Arteta up for September's Manager of the Month

Mikel Arteta celebrates after beating Everton

For the second successive time this season, Mikel Arteta has been nominated for the Premier League Manager of the Month award.

Our boss once again navigated us through September unbeaten, winning three and drawing one of our four encounters during the month to keep us undefeated in the division since the start of the campaign.

The month kicked off with a dramatic 3-1 success over Manchester United, before we finally ended our Goodison Park hoodoo by claiming a 1-0 success over Everton.

A 2-2 draw in a topsy-turvy north London derby followed before we wrapped up September with an excellent 4-0 success against Bournemouth on the south coast.

Mikel - who won four monthly awards last term to take his tally at the club to six - is up against four other bosses who also enjoyed fine months in charge of their teams.

The only other unbeaten side in the division is Tottenham Hotspur which sees Ange Postecogolu nominated as he aims to make it back-to-back wins, while Aston Villa’s excellent start has earned Unai Emery a spot on the list. Newcastle United’s Eddie Howe and Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp are the other two contenders having won three of their four matches.

Supporters’ votes will be factored into determining the winner, and you can vote for Mikel now until the poll closes at midday UK time on Monday, October 9.

You can select Leandro Trossard in the Goal of the Month competition, while David Raya is up for the Save of the Month prize.

While you're at it, why not vote for our men's Player of the Month for September, as well as our Goal of the Month across the whole club.
