Young forward Henry Timi Davies has hailed the influence of his mother after he signed his first professional contract with us.
The 17-year-old joined us from Manchester City's academy in March and scored his first goal for our under-18s in a 1-1 draw with Plymouth Argyle.
"It feels amazing, I couldn't have done it without my mum, it's been a long journey," he told Arsenal Media.
"I think my family has had the biggest impact on me to get me where I am right now, because without them, it would be impossible, especially all the help my mum has given me, taking me to training every day and all the support they've given me.
"All the effort everyone's put into me and all the belief everyone's shown in me were major factors in me signing this contract."
Timi has made three appearances for our under-18s so far this season and has ambitions of breaking through for club and country over the next 12 months.
"One of my main personal goals is to get called up to train with the first team more and maybe even feature for them and get an international cap for England," he said.
"I've enjoyed my time at Arsenal a lot so far and I know there's many more opportunities to come in the future and I'm prepared for it."
