Xhaka features in Uefa Nations League finals

Granit Xhaka played the entirety of Switzerland’s two Uefa Nations League fixtures. The Swiss lost 3-1 to Portugal in the semi-final, with Cristiano Ronaldo scoring a hat-trick to rule out Ricardo Rodriguez’s strike. They then faced England in a third-placed play-off, which ended 0-0 after extra-time, before losing 6-5 on penalties, although Xhaka did score from the spot.

 

Sokratis played the full 90 minutes as Greece lost 3-0 to Italy in Athens in a Euro 2020 qualifier. Nicolo Barella gave the visitors the lead, before two further first-half strikes from Lorenzo Insigne and Leonardo Bonucci put the result beyond doubt.

 

Henrikh Mkhitaryan played the entirety of Armenia’s 3-0 win over Lichtenstein in Euro 2020 qualifying. Gevorg Ghazaryan and Aleksandr Karapetyan found the net in the first half, with a late strike from Tigran Barseghyan completing the scoring.

 

Lucas Torreira came on in the 56th minute of Uruguay’s 3-0 victory over Panama in a friendly match. Maxi Gomez opened the scoring, before goals from Luis Suarez and Federico Valverde sealed the win.

 

David Ospina played the full 90 minutes as Colombia won 3-0 away to Peru in a friendlyin Lima. Mateus Aribe found the net twice before a late goal from Duvan Zapata completed the scoring.

 

Alex Iwobi played for 86 minutes as Nigeria drew 0-0 with Zimbabwe in a friendly match in Abasa.
