Arsenal can confirm that three young academy players have agreed new contracts with the Club.

Defender Zachari Fagan and midfielder Anthony Jeffrey have both signed their first professional contracts, while striker Zak Ansah has agreed a new deal with the Gunners.

Fagan, a tall and composed defender, who has been with Arsenal since the age of 10, was a mainstay of the under-18 side during 2012/13, making a total of 19 appearances, as well as appearing once for the under-21 side.

Jeffrey was a regular for the under-18s and NextGen sides last season and also demonstrated impressive form in the FA Youth Cup where he scored two goals in three games. The pacy winger spent the last two months of the campaign on loan with Stevenage, making a single appearance for the League One side.

Ansah is another product of Arsenal’s Hale End academy who established himself as a regular in the under-21s set-up last season. The forward, who signed his first professional contract in May 2011, made 10 appearances for Terry Burton’s side and also featured in the NextGen Series, scoring in the 4-2 win over Athletic Bilbao which secured the Gunners’ passage into the knockout stages of the competition.

Everyone at Arsenal Football Club looks forward to the continued progression of Zachari, Anthony and Zak over the coming years.
