Arsenal Football Club’s website won 'Best Sports Website’ and ‘Most Popular Sports Website’ at the 2013 Metrix UK Website of the Year awards. Arsenal.com enjoyed a clean sweep in the sports category.
The title of ‘Best Website of the Year’ was based on judges’ scoring across a number of key areas including content, navigation and design. The ‘Most Popular’ award was based on a public vote, with a total of 90,000 votes cast across Metrix UK’s 20 categories.

The double victory completes a successful year for the Arsenal Media Group, which produces the Club’s content. Arsenal.com was also shortlisted for 'Best Sports Website' in the 2013 Lovie Awards - a highly prestigious Europe-wide event. The Arsenal matchday programme was voted 'Best Design' for 2013 by Programme Monthly, one of the industry’s leading authorities.
Arsenal Media Group managing editor Richard Clarke said: “We are delighted to have won the awards for 'Best Sports Website' and 'Most Popular Sports Website'. We have a long and successful history in this particular event and it is great to keep that going after a year in which our website has changed so radically.
