Stina Blackstenius has won the Emirates Goal of the Month award for May with her UEFA Women’s Champions League winner.
The importance of her goal against Barcelona meant Stina won the vote with 77% of the votes. Kieran Tierney came second with his goal away to Southampton, while Declan Rice’s goal against Newcastle United was third.
After coming on in the second half of our clash with the Spanish giants in Lisbon, our Swedish striker was in the right place to receive the ball from Beth Mead and slot it into the bottom left corner, securing our first European silverware since 2007.
Speaking about her goal, she said: “We did speak about stretching them, it only takes one opportunity.
"It all went so quickly. It was a really, really good pass, and I just tried to hit the target. When I actually saw it was a goal, I was a bit in shock at first, but then just so happy.”
