Loan watch: Trusty nets, Okonkwo the penalty hero

Auston Trusty celebrates his late winner for Birmingham City

It was a prolific week on both sides of the pitch for our on-loan Gunners, as Auston Trusty and Folarin Balogun both got on the scoresheet and Arthur Okonkwo pulled off some penalty heroics on his debut.

Trusty was Birmingham City's stoppage-time hero at the weekend as they pulled off a 4-3 win over Swansea City. The American's winning header in the seventh minute of added time gave the Blues their first Championship win since December 16.

Arthur Okonkwo debuted for Sturm Graz in the Austrian Cup and immediately proved his talent between the posts in a penalty shootout against RB Salzburg. Our goalkeeper saved two penalties to send his side through to the semi-finals of the competition.

Folarin Balogun continued his staggering scoring streak in Ligue 1, bagging a hat trick against FC Lorient in midweek. Balogun is now the French league's top scorer after netting 14 in 11 matches, with PSG's Kylian Mbappe trailing by one goal. Balogun also played the full match for Reims in their goalless draw with Auxerre.

Nuno Tavares played the full 90 for Marseille in their 3-1 loss to Nice. Nice's Nicolas Pepe missed out on the clash due to injury.

After swapping north London for south in January, Albert Sambi Lokonga made his Crystal Palace debut at the weekend. Our midfielder made a second-half appearance as the Eagles fell to a 2-1 defeat against Manchester United.

Meanwhile in the Championship, Charlie Patino featured for an hour in Blackpool's 3-0 defeat to Middlesbrough, as did Brooke Norton-Cuffy, who was in action for Coventry City. The Sky Blues fell to a 1-0 loss against West Bromwich Albion.

Nathan Butler-Oyedeji made his senior debut for Accrington Stanley at the weekend, after impressing for the under-21s this season in Premier League 2. Our striker started the match for the League One side and played for 59 minutes as they lost 3-0 to Lincoln City.

Tim Akinola was an 83rd-minute substitute for Chesterfield as they were narrowly beaten by Boreham Wood in the Vanarama National League.

North of the border, Kilmarnock's Ryan Alebiosu played the full match in their 3-1 loss to Livingston and Alex Kirk also featured for 90 minutes as Ayr United lost 2-0 to Queen’s Park in the Scottish Championship.

Off the back of his debut, goalkeeper Ovie Ejeheri helped SJK to a 3-2 victory over VPS in the Finnish League Cup. Their Liigacup journey continues on Sunday against Haka.

In the Turkish Super Lig, Alex Runarsson was in goal for Alanyaspor in their 2-1 loss against Istanbulspor.
