We’re back in Women’s Super League action on Wednesday evening when we travel to third-placed Liverpool.
THE OPPOSITION
The Reds are third in the Women’s Super League table, having won four consecutive matches.
In their last league outing, Liverpool won 2-0 at home to Bristol, with Beth England scoring both goals for Scott Rogers’ side.
The Merseyside outfit are yet to draw a league game this season.
ONE TO WATCH
Sari van Veenendaal was crucial in our last Women’s Super League outing, a 0-0 draw away at Reading.
The Dutch shotstopper has repeatedly shown her worth to Joe Montemurro’s side this season.
The Reds have scored 17 times in seven games so far this season, with only Chelsea and Manchester City scoring more - so Sari will be crucial if we are to get a result.
LAST TIME WE MET
We’re yet to face Liverpool this season, but we faced the Reds in May 2017, playing out a thrilling 4-4 draw at the Hive.
Liverpool took the lead through Alex Greenwood, before Chloe Kelly levelled the scores. Natasha Harding and Caroline Weir then gave the visitors a 3-1 lead.
Two second-half strikes from Danielle Carter and one from Jordan Nobbs then gave us a 4-3 lead in the closing stages, but Gemma Bonner’s late header meant the spoils were shared.
