Lewis-Skelly signs first professional contract

Myles contract

Myles Lewis-Skelly has signed his first professional contract with the club.

The England youth international joined the club in May 2015, and has been a key player in our academy ever since. The 17-year-old midfielder has made six appearances already this season, scoring once and assisting three times.

Myles’s contribution in our FA Youth Cup run last season was vital, scoring the last-minute winner at Emirates Stadium, against Man City in the semi-final.

“It means the world to me, my boyhood club ever since I can remember. To play for Arsenal, I’m truly speechless,” he said after putting pen to paper.

“It feels amazing. I’m so delighted because, since I was a boy, I’ve been dreaming of this moment. To say that I’m a professional football player now is a dream come true for me and I just want to thank all the staff and all my family that came to support me. For the support around me, I couldn’t be any more grateful.”

Everyone at the club would like to congratulate Myles on signing his first professional contract and we look forward to seeing his continued development.
