Gabriel has been named our men’s Player of the Month for January after our supporters selected him as our standout performer.
The Brazilian amassed 68 per cent of the votes to claim the prize ahead of fellow nominees William Saliba, Gabriel Jesus and Bukayo Saka, becoming the sixth different player to be crowned our monthly winner this campaign.
With his two headers in our 5-0 win at home to Crystal Palace, Gabriel has hit three goals this term, and now has 12 in total in the Premier League, which was at least three more than any other defender since the start of the 2020/21 season.
He follows in the footsteps of Declan Rice (August), Bukayo Saka (September), Takehiro Tomiyasu (October), Kai Havertz (November) and Martin Odegaard (December) in topping our vote during 2023/24.
