The Gabon international became our fastest player to score 50 Premier League goals, bringing up his half-century with two strikes against Norwich City in just his 79th appearance for us.
 
Auba was asked about his record-breaking feat, the latest on his future and more after the game. This is what he said:

I'm really proud, really proud. First of all I think of the team. What we did today... I think we deserved the win because we did a great job, everyone was working really well today, I'm really happy and very proud.

on it being a good personal achievement...
I am really happy today, my performance was good and yes I am always happy to score goals to help the team to win games.

on whether he will sign a new contract...
I know [fans want me to sign a new contract] and I am really happy that Bukayo Saka signed 'da ting' and now we'll see. We'll talk with the football club and see what happens but first of all I am really focused on the games coming until the end of the season, so we'll see.
